Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of tuition?
$350/month paid in 10 monthly payments (August-May)       

$315/month (August-May) for second child (and subsequent) ~10% discount

$3325 tuition paid in one payment (only applies to the first child) ~5% discount

*discounts cannot be stacked


Are all of the teachers certified?
Yes, all are certified teachers and have teaching experience.

 

Is the staff properly vetted? 

Every staff member and volunteer, including support staff, and anyone having contact with enrolled students have been vetted through a background check by an independent professional screening service. 


What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Monday-Friday
Drop-off
7:30 A.M. - 8:00 A.M, School begins at 8:00 A.M.

Pick-up
Pre-K - 1st grades - 2:55 P.M.

2nd – 5th grades  - 3:00 P.M.
6th - 12th grades  - 3:05 P.M.


Are scholarships available?
Yes, scholarships are available on a very limited basis and must be applied for. 


Is there a dress code?
Yes, the dress code is as follows: 

Traditional short or long sleeve shirts in polo, oxford or turtleneck, in any solid color.
• Boys have the option to wear pants or knee-length shorts that are navy or khaki.
• Girls have the option to wear skorts, jumpers, polo dresses, or skirts that are navy or khaki. Girls must wear leggings or shorts under jumpers or skirts.

•The last day of each school week will be our Hope Academy t-shirt day, worn with blue jeans (no holes) or either navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, or skorts. Hope Academy t-shirts will also be worn on field trip days.

Will transportation be offered?

Not at this time.

Will there be an after-school program?

Not at this time.

Will sports and physical activities be available? 

Yes, for the younger children, we have an indoor and outdoor playground.

We plan to have archery and cross country available for grades 6-12. Sports programs are available through the Simmons Center that are not affiliated with Hope Academy.

We have a gym for indoor basketball and an outdoor basketball court and volleyball court.

At this time, we offer no organized team sports, such as football, basketball, softball, or baseball.

Can IEPs be written for students?

We are a private school that does not accept state or federal funding, so we do not write or implement IEPs.


Can students attend Hope Academy and Vo-Tech?

Yes, students are able to attend classes at Hope Academy and Red River Technology Center.

 

Can Hope Academy students participate in 4-H?

Yes, our students can be 4-H members, show livestock, and participate in 4H activities. Hope Academy will have its own chapter.
